Parent involvement plays an important role in our students’ success, and we are grateful for the many ways families support LCA. There are many opportunities to get involved throughout the school year, including:
- Assisting teachers in the classroom
- Reading to students
- Helping in the lunchroom
- Chaperoning field trips
- Supporting athletic events and activities
- Assisting with special events
- Helping with off-campus activities
- Supporting other classroom or campus projects
For the safety of our students, all parents who volunteer or assist on campus must complete the required security screening, regardless of the length or type of activity. All volunteers should check in at the Eagles Office upon arrival.
A background check is required for volunteers who serve in classrooms, chaperone field trips, assist with athletics, or participate in off-campus activities. Once approved, your background check remains valid for two years.
PEP HoursThe Life Christian Academy PEP program (Partnering, Educating, Participating) applies to families with students in Kindergarten through grade 12 and is designed to help offset operational costs while keeping tuition increases to a minimum. Each family is responsible for completing twenty service hours per school year, which may be fulfilled by parents or extended family members, and must be submitted through the designated reporting process. Uncompleted hours are billed in May at ten dollars per hour. LCA offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities across classrooms, events, athletics, and school programs, though service at Life Center Church does not qualify. Special circumstances may be considered, and questions should be directed to the appropriate school-level administrator. Please remember to record your volunteer time on our PEP Hours Form. We value all the time you give to LCA and want to make sure that we keep your hours on file.
