About Us

Life Christian School began in 1973 with just six preschool children, operating as a ministry of Life Center Church. In 1974, the school added its first kindergarten class, initiating our journey toward becoming a complete K–12 institution dedicated to academic and spiritual excellence.

 

Leadership has been a defining strength of our school. Over the past 50 years, our leaders have remained steadfast in their commitment to the mission. The construction of the Buntain Learning Center in 1985, followed by its expansion in 1994, created space to accommodate a growing student body. These additions included classrooms, administrative offices, and the Korum Activity Center.

 

In 1996, we launched the LIFE (Learning Is For Everyone) Program to support students with learning challenges, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. This program equips students with the tools to overcome obstacles and successfully reintegrate into the traditional classroom.

 

As enrollment increased, we continued to build. In 2000, we completed another expansion to include upper school classrooms, a fitness center, fine arts facilities, and the Tyler J. Saugen Success Center, which features a media center and new LIFE Program classrooms. In 2018, the Hjelseth Athletic Field was gifted to the school by the Names Family Foundation.

 

Over the decades, we have added a rich variety of student programs including ASB, National Honor Society, Rotary Interact Club, the Student Leadership Institute, our International Student Program, and a comprehensive fine arts and athletics program. These offerings reflect our belief that students should be challenged to grow in every area of life.

 

We are deeply committed to cultivating a diverse, Christ-centered community. Our students regularly serve both locally and globally through mission trips and learning experiences in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

 

The LCA Alumni Association now includes more than 1,200 graduates around the world. We are honored to welcome second-generation students from alumni families. Life Christian Academy is accredited by AdvancED and certified by the Council on Educational Standards and Accountability (CESA).
