Bella’s involvement began almost immediately through LCA’s drama program. In eighth grade, she performed in Anne of Green Gables. Her freshman year, she participated in High School Musical and helped choreograph the ensemble. As she moved through high school, Bella continued finding new ways to get involved. She joined National Honor Society as a sophomore, ASB as a junior, and the LCA Cheer team during her junior year.

Looking back, Bella says some of her most meaningful growth has happened through the relationships she has built along the way. Her friends have supported her as she has navigated the challenges that come with growing up, strengthening friendships that have become an important part of her LCA experience.

One person who has made a particularly significant impact on Bella is Mr. Johnson, who has been a mentor to her since eighth grade.

“Mr. Johnson has always had an open door and has been someone who will listen,” Bella shared. “His faith has inspired me to be a better version of myself and never settle. He has taught me to see who God made me to be instead of allowing other people to define me.”

Bella’s time at LCA has also helped her become more confident in sharing and living out her faith. She says one of the most important lessons she will carry with her is learning to be bold in what she believes. Spiritual Emphasis Week has been her favorite LCA tradition and a meaningful part of that spiritual growth.

After graduation, Bella hopes to attend Northwest University and eventually earn a master’s degree to become a child psychologist. Her passion for that career comes from a desire to support children who may not have the opportunity to grow up in healthy or stable environments.

“I have always been passionate about helping kids who don’t grow up in a healthy environment,” Bella said. “Being there for a kid is what matters.”

As graduation approaches, Bella says she will especially miss being part of the LCA Cheer team. She leaves LCA with strong friendships, memories from the stage and sidelines, leadership experience, and a greater confidence in her faith and in who God created her to be.
