For senior Anna Halbert, the past five years at Life Christian Academy have been filled with meaningful friendships, personal growth, and a deepening relationship with Jesus.
Throughout her time at LCA, Anna has been an active member of the cheerleading program and ASB, serving on the decorating committee and in student leadership roles, including Visual Communications. One of her favorite LCA traditions is decorating the hallways with her fellow ASB members.
Anna credits the LIFE Program with helping her develop confidence in the classroom. After struggling with math in eighth grade, she found encouragement and support from teachers who helped her recognize her abilities. "I always told myself I was bad at math, but then Ms. Koslo explained it in a way I actually understood. Now it's my favorite subject!" She is also grateful for Ms. Lerew, who has helped her overcome academic challenges and believe in herself.
Another influential person in Anna's LCA experience has been Cheer Coach Yolanda Stansell. "From my very first day of cheer, she made me feel so welcome. She's the foundation of our cheer family and a big reason we're all so close."
Above all, Anna is grateful for the friendships that have strengthened her faith. Through Bible studies, worship, and meaningful conversations with friends, she has discovered a deeper, more personal relationship with Jesus. "My friends showed me how personal Jesus can be."
As Anna considers her next chapter, she is exploring college opportunities, including George Fox University and Western Washington University. While she is still deciding, she knows she will miss seeing her friends every day and the close-knit community she has found at LCA.
When asked to complete the sentence, "LCA has taught me..." Anna's answer was simple and meaningful: "To be confident."
Congratulations, Anna! We are excited to see how God continues to guide your journey!
