Alumni Spotlight | Luke Lovelady

From the basketball court to building a thriving business, LCA alumnus Luke Lovelady, Class of 2017, has carried the lessons of faith, discipline, and leadership into every chapter of his life.

Following graduation, Luke earned a basketball scholarship to Point Loma Nazarene University before transferring to Western Washington University, where he continued his basketball career and earned a degree in Business Management.

After college, Luke moved to Arizona, married Amber, and spent four years in tech sales. Today, the couple lives in Avondale, Arizona, where they own and operate Sixth Sense Cleaning, a commercial and residential cleaning company. In just their second year of business, they are on track to generate $500,000 in revenue!

For Luke, the greatest reward goes beyond financial success. He takes pride in building a business with his wife, creating jobs, supporting his team, and providing a valuable service to their community.

Looking back on his years at LCA, one of Luke's favorite memories is playing basketball for four years under his father, Mark Lovelady, who also served as LCA's Middle School and High School Principal.

Luke credits his father as one of the most influential people in his life, describing him as "the greatest man I've ever known." His father's example helped shape Luke's work ethic, discipline, and commitment to raising a God-fearing family.

While his journey has taken him from Washington to Arizona, from collegiate athletics to entrepreneurship, the foundation Luke developed at LCA continues to guide him.

"LCA helped prepare me to put God in everything I do, and trust Him no matter what."

We love seeing our Eagles build meaningful lives, lead with purpose, and make a difference in their communities. Congratulations, Luke, on all you and Amber are accomplishing!
