Academics Focus
We pursue academic excellence as a way to honor God and prepare students for His purpose in their lives. Colossians 3:23 reminds us to work with all our hearts as for the Lord. Our academic goals reflect this calling. By strengthening instruction, aligning to national standards, and expanding future-focused opportunities, we are equipping students to think deeply, grow wisely, and lead faithfully. Through collaboration, data-driven teaching, and intentional partnerships, we are preparing students to step confidently into the future with Christ at the center of all they do.
- Annually, 3rd-7th grade will demonstrate an increase of 2% on standardized testing as compared to the CESA norms.
- Annually, 8th and 9th-grade students will increase their average PSAT scores by 4%.
- Annually, 10th and 11th-grade students will increase their average PSAT/NMSQT by 4%.
- Annually, at least the top 25% of graduates will score above 1250 on the SAT.
CESA = Council of Educational Standards and Accountability. Life Christian was a founding member of CESA, which is now comprised of 60 schools. CESA is widely regarded as having the largest and most successful Christian schools in the country. CESA norms = CESA norms are comprised of students in CESA who take the CTP assessment at the same time of year as our LCA students over the past three years.

- Teacher collaboration and professional development sessions will focus on using the SAT as a tool in classroom instruction and questioning.
- Teacher collaboration and professional development times will focus on the development of critical thinking skills.
- Increased focus on 10th and 11th-grade students attempting the PSAT with score reporting and analysis for individual students.
Faculty and staff will continue to collaborate and reflect on improving individual student achievement scores, utilizing existing Late Start Thursdays and Professional Development days.
