Course Description
This is a junior-level, college preparatory American Literature and Expository Writing course. Students should expect to spend a significant amount of time reading great pieces of American Literature (short stories, novels, plays and poems), viewing films based on great American works, and writing expository pieces (journals, essays, letters, research reports, etc.) for this course. In addition to literature and writing, the course also consists of a thorough study of grammar and SAT vocabulary words. Students will end the year with a draft of a college essay.
