PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Our physical education department purposes to help students develop life-long habits that contribute to healthy living. Graduation requirements are for three semesters of physical activity courses and one semester of nutrition instruction. One of the three semesters of physical activity courses may be forgiven for participation in multiple seasons of high school sports, if a student applies for a waiver.  Club sports cannot be used for this purpose.

Conditioning Class    1 Semester

Fitness training for this class takes place in the KAC and in our weight room. Time in class will focus on the physical aspects of conditioning, cardiovascular training, strength training, and flexibility with an emphasis on proper technique and personal improvement.

We played a game called protect your empire.  Students threw dodge balls at comes to knock the pickle ball off and the team to guard their cones the best won! During the game the students did 50 burpies, 100 squats with 10 lbs, 50 push ups and 500 jump ropes.  They had to do these exercises to earn dodge balls to throw at the cones.

Welcome to PE!
It is an honor to have you in my class. This year is going to be awesome and we are going to get stronger together! We will follow this basic schedule:
Monday - Full Body Day
Tuesday - Arm Day
Wednesday - Leg Day
Thursday - Run Day
Friday - Sports / Game Day
We will focus on a new sport every 2-3 weeks, learn the rules and add drills for that sport into our workouts.
