Description
This class is designed to build on the foundation set in Second Year Spanish through the basic components of language:  listening, speaking, reading, and writing,    Refining oral as well as aural skills are a focus of third year study as these functions are not only crucial to language development, but are often seen as the most useful skills of learning a second language.  The student will continue to be exposed to the Spanish speaking world and the many different cultures that world encompasses.  Students will be asked to take a global view of these cultures and study their peoples in much the same way they would in a social studies classroom.  Students will be expected to use intermediate level vocabulary and grammatical structures within the four language components on a consistent basis. The class will be conducted primarily in Spanish, and students will be expected to speak Spanish.

4.  Select a member of the Spanish royal family and do some reading (English or Spanish) about him or her on the internet.  Ojo!  Some of these people are quite interesting!  Then write a description of the person.  Tell us what they look like, what their personality if like (I added an adjective glossary in the handouts section to help you with vocabulary), and what they are known for or famous for; 8-10 sentences.  Please email me a word document.  We will eventually share these when we meet.
