Welcome To "One Sound"!
 
I hope you are ready to have some fun making music!  This course is designed to give Students an enriching and diverse instrumental music education.  Students will be empowered to think not only as a musician, but as an artist creating an experience for all who listen.  This class provides performance opportunities in a variety of settings.  We work exceptionally hard so that we can ENJOY creating fun-filled experiences for our audiences.  Our #1 is to uplift and represent our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  Collectively we produce ONE SOUND to accomplish our task of spreading God's Love!

Final Project

This is a group project with a minimum of 2 students (4 max).  In this final project you will write a song with the following specifications:

  • Song must be a minimum of 32 measures
  • Song must contain at least one repeat section
  • Song must contain a 1st and 2nd ending
  • Song must have a piano as a foundation instrument
    • Chord progressions to use as a resource (these are only suggestions)
      • I-V-ii-IV
      • I-IV-vi-V
      • I-vi-V-I
  • Melody must be handwritten on staff paper
  • Chord name must be written above staff
  • Composition must contain clef name, time signature, and key signature.
  • Song must contain at least a 2-part harmony between wind instruments, both transcribed on the staff.
  • Song must be recorded in Apple’s Garageband (or Logic Pro X).
  • Composition must state song title and authors.
  • Performance must be recorded and submitted in the form of MP3. Composition must be neatly written and easily readable.

This project is due at the start of class Tuesday, June 4th.  Use your teacher as a resource for help.
