Welcome to Concert Band!
I am so excited for this year's Concert Band group! This course is designed to give students an enriching and diverse instrumental music education. Students will be empowered to think not only as a musician, but as an artist creating an experience for all who listen. What I love about Concert Band is that this is typically the age where we see students start to come into their own as musicians. Collectively, we are going to produce some great music this year!

Final Project
This is a group project with a minimum of 2 students (4 max). In this final project you will write a song with the following specifications:
- Song must be a minimum of 32 measures
- Song must contain at least one repeat section
- Melody must be handwritten on staff paper
- Composition must contain clef name, time signature, and key signature.
- Song must contain at least a 2-part harmony between wind instruments, both transcribed on the staff.
- Song must be performed in class on the day of final.
- Composition must state song title and authors.
- Composition must be neatly written and easily readable.
This project is due at the start of class Tuesday, June 4th. Use your teacher as a resource for help.
