Sample conclusion paragraph (completed together in 3rd period):
In conclusion, Faber and "B" show that acknowledging and conquering one's problems makes a person stronger. Most people in Fahrenheit 451 hide from their problems. This just magnifies them. People in 2018 also try to ignore their problems. Celebrities and everyday people are often found overdosed on drugs. They are turning to drugs to run from their problems instead of facing them and becoming stronger. When people face problems they try to solve them and they learn from their mistakes. Embrace. Don't run!
Due:
Assignment
Body Paragraph #1 (Completed together in class...rough draftt):
First, Faber shows that facing problems makes people stronger. After Montag kills Beatty, he is on the run from the government. He returns to Faber's house. Faber had been an English professor who was scared of protesting the government's ban on thinking. However, Montag convinced Faber to help him rebel. As they are plotting Montag's escape, Faber says, "I feel alive for the first time in years...I feel I'm doing what I should have done a lifetime ago" (Bradbury 125). Faber's problem was his cowardice. He was scared of the government getting him. However, helping Montag learn to think forced him to finally stand up against the government. Instead of hiding in his house in fear, he is now doing something to make society better. Faber admits that this act of rebellion makes him feel alive--stronger than he's been in years. To summarize, Faber proves that facing one's problems makes a person stronger.

Setting Assignment-- You are a detective. Go on an investigation throughout Part I to answer each setting question. When you think you can solve the mystery, make a claim and support it with the investigative details you find in the text. Make your claims as specific as possible, but not all answers can be precise. Bradbury leaves some of the setting vague. Use the info you can glean from the book. This can be fun if you make it! :)
