Reading Boost – 9:00am
Grades: Pre 1st and Pre 2nd

For students who need reading basics who are learning to read. This class will focus on phonics, sight word building, and basic reading skills.

Reading Power – 9:00am
Grades: 2-3

  • Fostering advanced reading skills and higher-level thinking

Dive into deeper reading skills and accelerate reading growth. This class is designed for any student who wants to grow as a reader. Whether you love reading or are hesitant about reading, this class is for you. Students must be able to read independently.

Grades: 4-6

  • Fostering advanced reading skills and higher-level thinking

Math Boost – 10:15am
Grades: 1-2

  • Focus on building skills for the next grade level

For students who need to continue building their math skills. This course will focus on math fluency, basic math skills, and solving story problems.

Mastering Math – 10:15am
Grades: 2-3

  • Gain fluency in basic math skills

The focus of this class will encourage students to build appropriate grade level mathematical reasoning skills. They will then utilize those skills to compete in a series of math pentathlon games.

Mastering Math – 9:00am
Grades: 4-6

  • Gain fluency in basic math skills

The focus of this class will encourage students to build appropriate grade level mathematical reasoning skills. They will then utilize those skills to compete in a series of math pentathlon games.

PSAT / SAT Math Prep / Grade Recovery – 10:15am
Grades: 8-12

  • Focus on the skills you need to be college ready
  • High School students can earn .25 credits with a letter grade
  • Students taking this class can change a failing grade to a Pass

Want to begin preparation for the Math portion of the PSAT/SAT? This is the class for you. PSAT/SAT prep courses are integral in developing your focus on practicing and building skills, and this is just the one to get you started. Become familiar with the types of questions that will be on the test, and the strategies necessary for how to solve them.

Phone App Development – 9:00am
Grades: 8-12

  • Have fun while developing coding skills using block code
  • High School students can earn .25 credits with a letter grade

The Phone App Development Course offers an opportunity to lean ideas for creating apps through block code. Students will learn to be the creators amidst a consumer society through the development of cleverness and creativity found in computer language and practice of app development.

Novel / Film Study – 9:00am
Grades: 8-12

  • Read and respond to a piece of fiction that has been made into a movie
  • High School students can earn .25 credits with a letter grade
  • Students taking this class can change a failing grade to a Pass

Discussion and deeper understanding of literary devices will be the focus of this class as we dive in together to a classic novel. Foster your love for reading and discussion in a collaborative group setting.

Apologetics – 10:15am
Grades: 11-12

  • Explore the basics of Christianity and Christian living
  • High School students can earn .50 credits with a letter grade

This course will explore the basics of Christianity and Christian living while teaching students how to defend their faith to others and respond in a Christian way to life’s situations. Completion of this course with a passing grade will provide half a Bible credit and free up valuable space in your academic schedule as a Junior or Senior.
