Strengthen your coding skills. In this class, you will start with some basic code of HTML-based phone apps. You will cover foundational topics such as programming and algorithms.

 

Cooking

  • Grades 8-12
  • Learn to make simple meals at home

Ever wanted to learn to cook simple recipes that will prepare you for college or allow you to prepare a quick easy dish with busy schedules? This class is for you. Together, we will master basic kitchen skills, learn how to make simple but delicious dishes, and experiment with ingredients to “kick things up a notch."

Elementary Reading Boost
  • Grades 1-3
  • Strengthen foundational skills
Becoming a strong reader requires a solid foundation in basic reading skills. This class will focus on building those skills necessary to increase reading fluency and comprehension.
 
Flash Fiction
  • Grades 8-12
  • Read and write modern short stories in 1500 words or less
If you love reading and writing, this is the class for you. Flash fiction are short stories that are 1500 words or less. Enjoy discussion and develop skills to write your own short stories.
 
Game Design
  • Grades 4-7
  • Create your own fun with Java Script or Block Design

Strengthen your coding skills and dive deeper into the ever popular realm of gaming. This basic class will give you a glimpse into the what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite video game.

Mastering Math

  • Grades 1-3
  • Gain fluency in basic skills

The focus of this class includes place value with larger numbers, building a deeper understanding of number sense, and understanding story problem strategies. You’ll leave this class with the skills and confidence necessary to gain success in your future mathematics curriculum.

 

Middle School Math Boost

  • Grades 6-7
  • Get a jump start on skills to start next year strong

The focus of this class includes a review of fractions and developing understanding of algebraic expressions to prepare for pre-algebra.

Novel Study

  • Grades 8-12
  • Read and respond to Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns"

Discussion and deeper understanding of literary devices will be the focus of this class as we dive in together to this classic novel. Foster your love for reading and discussion in a collaborative group setting.

 

Reading Adventures 

  • Grades 6-7
  • Read and reflect in a group share format

For those who want connection through reading and discussion. This class will be held in an active and collaborative format and will include reading high interest books.

 

Reading Boost

  • Grades 1-3

SAT prep courses are integral in developing your focus on practicing and building skills, and this is just the one to get you started. Become familiar with the types of questions that will be on the test, and the strategies necessary for how to solve them.
