Bible 6

Course Description

Semester 1    A Study of Proverbs

Middle school years are a time when young people begin to make more and more decisions for themselves. This increasing freedom is accompanied by greater responsibility and higher expectations in many areas of life. This study from Proverbs will help young people master the principles that will help them live wisely and become more like Christ.

Study Skills: Part of semester one will involve learning essential study skills. These may include test taking skills, note taking skills, and general organizational skills. Each student is given a daily planner and this planner is checked every day in every class. A weekly planner completion grade is given as a part of the semester one Bible grade. There will be additional study skills assignments throughout the semester.

Semester 2     An Overview of the Bible                                                                                                                                                    Book: 30 Days to Understanding the Bible by Max Anders   (will be supplied)

Students will learn to position key Bible characters, places, and events in chronological order so that you can "think your way through" the entire Word of God. Through interesting, memory-enhancing exercises, students will become familiar with the core teachings of Scripture.
