ELL C/D (Period 4)

This intermediate course will focus on English grammar, vocabulary, and American culture.  Students will be working with the teacher to determine individual areas of grammar study that meet their needs.  Students will mostly work independently through chapters of our grammar book as the teacher monitors their progress.  A few chapters will be required by the teacher.  A detailed plan for the independent study of grammar will be explained in the ELL Grammar Overview which will be handed out separately.  Occasionally, students will work with the teacher in small groups or as a class to review specific grammar trouble spots, learn vocabulary or complete assignments on cultural topics.  Finally, the course will cover select topics related to English usage, such as cursive writing, note taking, idiomatic expressions and cultural topics.
