Description
Advanced Placement (AP) American Government and Politics is a year-long course covering United States’ government and politics  in five primary areas: (1) Foundations of American Democracy; (2) Interactions Among Branches of Government; (3) Civil Liberties and Civil Rights; (4) American Political Ideologies and Beliefs; and (5) Political Participation.  A student will be required to think critically and understand the unique development of our government and politics. Skills emphasized will include writing, problem solving, group discussion and debate, and critical analysis.
