Advanced Placement (AP) European History is a year long course covering world history from 1300 AD to the present day. The first semester covers the years 1301-1848 AD while second semester covers the time period of 1848 AD to the present day. The course focuses on man’s relationship to God and how it has influenced the scope and course of history. Students will be required to think critically and attempt to see the common patterns in political, social, and economic developments throughout the western world. Skills emphasized will include writing, problem solving, group discussion and debate, and critical analysis.
